Generic - Bus Monitor

QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification: Must be able to read, write, understand and communicate verbal and written instructions and responses in English Must be 21 years of ageSPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Ability to work well with children with disabilities Possess full range of motion in hands, arms and trunk Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively Ability to operate safety equipment and adaptive equipmentEXPERIENCE: NoneMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Assist in loading and unloading of students with disabilities according to their individual needs. Maintain discipline and report student discipline problems to the appropriate administrator. Maintain a good working relationship with the principals and through a cooperative effort maintain a disciplined decorum on the bus that is conducive to safety and protection of property. Make neat, legible, and accurate reports as required. Become familiar with route to and from school campus to be of assistance to driver. Perform other duties as assigned.
