Oncology Registered Nurse – Acute Care

UCHealth is seeking an RN Acute Care Oncology nurse to provide compassionate, evidence-based care for adult oncology patients on an acute care unit. In this role, you will perform comprehensive assessments, administer chemotherapy and supportive treatments, manage central lines, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and educate patients and families. Provide direct nursing care to acute oncology patients following evidence-based protocols Perform comprehensive assessments, develop and update individualized care plans Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, blood products, and supportive medications safely Monitor for and manage treatment side effects and oncologic emergencies Manage central venous access devices and maintain strict infection control Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary team members Educate patients and families on disease process, treatments, and symptom management Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EHR Support discharge planning and care transitions, including home care coordination Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and continuing education Oncology nursing Chemotherapy administration Central line management Acute care nursing Patient assessment Care planning and coordination Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation Oncologic emergency recognition and response Patient and family education Infection prevention and control Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active, unrestricted RN license in state of practice BSN strongly preferred Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred or obtained within designated timeframe Basic Life Support (BLS) required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred or required per unit policy Chemotherapy/biotherapy certification per ONS or equivalent preferred Experience with EHR documentation systems (e.g., Epic) preferred
