Key Responsibilities: Manage a team of Network Engineers responsible for the firm’s global network infrastructure, services, team operations, including workload prioritization, resource allocation, staffing, performance management, professional development, training, and 24x 7 on-call coverage. Provide strategic and operational oversight for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of voice, LAN, WAN, wireless, cloud networking, Internet edge, and network security infrastructure. Establish and maintain network standards, policies, procedures, documentation, and operational controls that promote consistency, security, resiliency, and operational excellence. Ensure adherence to change-management, maintenance, disaster recovery, business continuity, cybersecurity, and documentation requirements. Leader of network transformation and modernization initiatives, including SASE, SD-WAN, cloud networking, network automation, and advanced security capabilities. Review and approve network architectures, designs, implementation plans, and infrastructure standards to ensure alignment with business objectives, cybersecurity requirements, and operational best practices. Oversee network hardware and technology lifecycles, capacity planning, availability, resilience, and performance optimization. Collaborate with IT leadership, project managers, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure network projects are properly planned, resourced, governed, and delivered successfully. Establish and monitor operational metrics and provide clear reporting on network availability, performance, service levels, service delivery, risks, and continuous-improvement initiatives. Lead recurring operational reviews, service-level discussions, and technical strategy meetings to drive accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement. Identify opportunities to improve network reliability, scalability, security, automation, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.5+ years of experience leading network engineering and/or network operations teams, preferably in a complex enterprise environment. Proven experience supporting global, highly available, 24x 7 enterprise network environments. Demonstrated success leading geographically distributed technical teams and managing resources across multiple locations. Advanced knowledge of Cisco routing and switching technologies, including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, QoS, and TCP/IP.Hands-on or strong technical leadership experience with SASE technologies, including SD-WAN, Zero Trust, and secure remote access. Strong understanding of enterprise network security technologies, including VPNs, firewalls, Network Access Control (NAC), IDS/IPS, and secure remote-access solutions. Experience with cloud networking, wireless infrastructure, Internet edge technologies, high-availability architectures, and network monitoring and performance-management platforms. Familiarity with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform or comparable network automation and orchestration technologies. Working knowledge of disaster recovery, business continuity, capacity planning, risk management, and IT operational governance. Strong project-management, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business recommendations and communicate effectively with both technical and executive audiences.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a professional services, legal, financial services, or other highly regulated environment. Cisco CCNP Enterprise, CCIE, Cisco SD-WAN, or comparable networking certification. CISSP, CISM, or another recognized cybersecurity certification. Previous experience managing enterprise IT or network services within a law firm or legal environment. Experience leading large-scale network transformation, cloud migration, automation, or cybersecurity initiatives.
