BUSINESS OF FILM, MEDIA & JOURNALISM INTERN

Type: Part‑time An internationally award‑winning food documentary series that captures true stories about food entrepreneurs worldwide. TASTE is a short‑form documentary startup based in Manhattan, New York, with a growing international presence across 30 countries. Length: Fall/Winter 2024 and/or Spring/Summer 2025 (with potential for extension)

Location: In‑Person & Remote – flexible hours, minimum 10 hours per week Eligibility: Current undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate within the last 10 years. Unpaid internship providing college or educational credit. Mentorship from the founder of TASTE. About TASTE We film the uncovered stories of food entrepreneurs, from Michelin‑starred chefs in Europe to snake farmers in Vienna and Jewish bakers in Budapest. To date we have produced 70 short films in 30 countries and earned 45 international film‑festival nominations. About the Intern Role As a business development intern you will collaborate directly with the founder to build the business side of this award‑winning series. You may pitch to investors, engage sponsors, coordinate events such as TASTE: Film‑to‑Table screenings, and liaise with filmmakers, creators, and media outlets. The role demands self‑direction, creativity, and an action‑oriented mindset in a fast‑moving startup environment. Sample Tasks & Qualifications Plan and implement in‑person TASTE film screenings, premieres, dinners and other events, particularly in Manhattan, NY. Research and source archival or independent media footage from creators, governments, archival institutions and media companies. Recruit creative talent for TASTE—filmmakers, editors, producers, composers, and more. Identify and outreach to potential investors, networks, media outlets, sponsors, stakeholders, and collaborators. Maintain high attention to detail, organization, motivation, and self‑direction. Value action and accountability; eagerness to learn, grow, and create within a dynamic team. Understand that filmmaking and startup processes require teamwork, dedication, and time. Work Arrangement Entire internship performed remotely with flexible deadlines and work hours. Interns are expected to manage and progress on individual projects independently.
