Role Description:
The Associate, Finance & Fund Operations will support the Fund Controller and CFO across finance, accounting, and fund operations for Bow River's private funds. This is a hands-on role for a finance and accounting professional with an attention to detail who wants broad exposure to how private funds run day to day: managing capital sources, moving and reconciling cash, reporting to lenders and LPs, supporting investor relations, and closing the books. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, growing environment. Bow River Asset Management is an SEC-registered investment adviser. Responsibilities The Associate will own recurring processes and support the Controller on more complex, judgment-based work. Capital sources (LPs, leverage providers, participants)Prepare LP capital calls and maintain investor records Prepare bank draws and borrowing base reports for leverage providers Compile covenant compliance and other financial reporting owed to lenders and participants Process interest payments to leverage providers and distributions to participants Treasury & Operations Facilitate draw requests across loan counterparties including wiring, confirmations, and settlement Perform daily cash reconciliation; assist in cash flow forecasting; optimize cash drag across the fund complex Apply fund allocation policy to determine sources of funding Reconcile interest and fees owed by borrowers Conduct borrower outreach for information and reporting requirements Assist with bank account opening and ongoing bank liaison/relationship management Assist with vendor and expense management Perform entity formation and maintain good standing and corporate documents (e.g., LLC agreements)Accounting and financial reporting Prepare financials and complete the monthly close for several special purpose vehicles and private funds Maintain SPV and fund-level interest trackers Set up and process SPV and fund-level wires Compile regulatory AUM figures and fund return calculations for Investor Relations Assemble supporting materials for Board and LPAC reporting Gather audit support and respond to auditor requests Maintain LPA compliance schedules, including leverage and concentration limit calculations Prepare tax schedules and coordinate information requests with the tax provider Qualifications · Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field· 3 to 6 years of relevant experience including working with multiple entities and a high volume of transactions· Exposure to asset-based finance or similar industries preferred· Hands-on Net Suite experience and strong Excel skills· Working knowledge of wires, bank reconciliations, and journal entries· Outstanding attention to detail and reliability with recurring deadlines· Able to manage several weekly processes at once and flag issues early· Clear, professional communication with borrowers, banks, and service providers· Curious and coachable, with a long-term interest in private funds Work Authorization & Employment Eligibility · Must be legally authorized to work within the United States · Successful completion of background check Work Environment · This job operates in a corporate office environment· Expectations are that this role will be primarily in the office (i.e., not remote) · The firm offers a work remote month (July 15 – August 15) each summer Physical Demands · This position requires prolonged sitting, computer use, fine motor skills, lifting, carrying, reaching, standing, hearing, speaking, visual strain, and mobility to successfully perform the essential job functions in a demanding and dynamic environment Position Type/Expected Hours of Work · This full-time salary (overtime exempt) position requires at least 40 hours of work per week. Business operations are Monday through Friday Travel This role may be required to travel on an infrequent basis. Compensation Bow River Capital offers discretionary vacation and competitive health, insurance and retirement benefits. The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $120,000 plus an annual discretionary performance bonus. Years of experience and years in a similar role, among other factors, will be used to determine the actual salary.
