This individual possesses the basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care and transportation. EMTs function as part of a comprehensive EMS response, under medical oversight. EMTs perform interventions with the basic equipment typically found on an ambulance.

Minimum Required Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent (GED). State Driver’s License. National or State EMT certification. CPR/BLS certifications. Driving record in compliance with company policy. Pass Physical Agility Test. Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.
