Reports to: Director of QA

Position Summary: Experienced OASIS/Coding Specialist: Certified in Home Health Care Oasis coding. The Medical Coder will focus on coding and OASIS completion accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities: Patient Care:

• Extensive knowledge of CMS Home Health regulations including OASIS, coding and Plan of Care requirements
• Advanced computer skills with experience with one or more of Electronic Medical Record solutions
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Strong quantitative and analytic skills
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing working environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills, and an aggressive approach to excellence

Position Qualifications: 1. Home Health coding and OASIS review experience: 1 year2. HCS-D and Oasis (COS-C or HCS-O) or BCHH-C3. Some computer experience preferred4. Working knowledge of medical terminology5. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order.

Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
