Experienced Travel Agent

Role Description: This Experienced Travel Agent role is based in Oneonta, AL. but can be handled remotely. The Experienced Travel Agent will assist clients with planning and booking travel arrangements, including transportation, lodging, and activities, while ensuring a smooth end-to-end experience. Daily responsibilities include handling reservations, coordinating car rentals, advising clients on travel options and itineraries, and managing changes or cancellations as needed. The role also involves delivering high-quality customer service, responding to inquiries in person and by phone or email, and maintaining accurate records of bookings. In addition, the agent will support sales goals by recommending travel packages, upselling services, and building long-term client relationships.

Qualifications: Strong skills in reservations and travel arrangements, including coordinating flights, accommodations, and activities. Proven customer service and client relationship skills, with the ability to handle inquiries and resolve issues professionally. Experience with car rental bookings and related logistics as part of comprehensive travel planning. Sales skills, including promoting travel packages, upselling services, and meeting booking or revenue targets. Knowledge of travel industry tools and booking systems; comfort with using computer-based reservation platforms. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail in documentation and scheduling. Ability to master multiple tasks, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience as a travel agent or in a similar travel services role is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in travel or hospitality is a plus.
