Employee Classification: Regular

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Microbiology or a related field.2+ years applicable experience in the food industry, preferably in a hands-on role. Strong analytical and investigative skills and an understanding of statistics. Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions/preventive actions (CAPAs) strongly preferred. HACCP certification and SQF experience preferred. Lean/Six Sigma training preferred. Shift flexibility and some travel availability as required. Detail oriented team player with superior verbal, written, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills. Skilled in computer systems and MS Office with working knowledge of computer databases. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to prioritize tasks. Working Conditions/Physical Factors: Worker may be exposed to temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. More extreme temperatures possible during summer months. Worker exposed to a loud working environment. Worker exposed to hazards in the work place such as proximity to equipment conducting extreme heat, moving parts, and electrical current.
