Exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing to deliver the highest quality care in a dynamic surgical environment. This contract position provides the chance to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team supporting complex cardiovascular procedures and ensuring exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgeries, ensuring safety and best practice standards are met
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to maintain sterile procedures and anticipate needs during operations
  • Conduct and document preoperative assessments and postoperative recovery status
  • Operate and monitor complex surgical equipment specific to CVOR procedures
  • Follow all protocols for infection control and patient safety
  • Maintain clear and timely documentation within electronic medical record systems
  • Support a culture of quality assurance by participating in case reviews and debriefings
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Current and unrestricted RN license
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent CVOR nursing experience requiredBLS and ACLS certifications (current and valid)
  • In-depth knowledge of sterile technique, OR protocols, and cardiovascular surgical interventions
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work efficiently as part of an interdisciplinary team in high-pressure situations
  • ScheduleContract position; shift and hours may vary based on surgical needs
