Production Manager - Die Casting

Production Manager – Die Casting Automotive parts maker needs a Production Manager to run its Die Casting manufacturing department. This position requires a very strong background in die casting processes. Your primary goals will be to improve safety, delivery, cost, and quality. This job is in a beautiful part of Tennessee, near Knoxville. I am advertising in your area in order to find people with the die-casting background they need. Relocation assistance is available. With safety first in mind, you will lead continuous improvement, following the principles of the Toyota Production System. Work with Quality to set goals including scrap reduction, reduction in customer complaints, and reporting of non-conformances. Evaluate and improve manpower layout, 5-S standardization, and organization layout. Work with maintenance to improve machine uptime. Provide data driven analyses of manufacturing problems. This position will require travel by plane and car 10-20%.
