Product Line Specialist Research, analysis, and recommendations to ensure P&L profitability and growth are key elements of this position. The Product Line Specialist will also be responsible for certain aspects of individual part data, inventory and opportunity management. This role will engage in continuous improvement activities resulting in increased efficiency. The Product Line Specialist supports our Product Managers in maintaining our existing portfolio while also driving growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform analysis and recommendations in the areas of contract management, inventory management and forecasting, and investment opportunities
  • Conduct research on our products, the market, and the competition to provide action recommendations
  • Manage part number key attributes, alternate parts, along with supportive documentation
  • Manage and enhance Product Management tools and reporting
  • Conduct sourcing for strategic bid opportunities
  • Oversee Excess and Obsolete inventory reduction efforts
  • Assist with various reports and presentations
  • Assist Product Managers in achieving overall P&L goal targets
  • Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong ability and skillset in Microsoft Excel to conduct efficient research and analysis of large groups of data. Excellent verbal and written communication Must work well in team environment with multiple priorities Possess business acumen, including basic understanding of financial tools Education / Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or a related field. Minimum 2 years' related experience and/or training

Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Physical Demands and Work Environment: Is occasionally required to walk and lift up to 25 pounds. Is regularly required to sit and reach with hands and arms. Is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and to talk or hear. Works at moderate noise levels. Occasional travel to suppliers and/or customers.
