Air-Conditioning and Warm Air Heating Equipment and Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration Equipment ManufacturingMajor Household Appliance ManufacturingOther Scientific and Technical Consulting ServicesQuality Assurance Specialist Perform process/product audits on various assembly processes to identify and assess conformance to Standard Work Instructions and Lean Manufacturing Practices. Perform all internal calibrations, send tools externally for calibration, and maintain records in the quality management system. Communicate with operators, leads, and supervisors to ensure all tools are collected in a timely manner and returned to the appropriate user. Physically go to each department/operator to collect tools that are due for calibration. Conduct daily Voice of the Customer (VOC) audits and inspect current production for items found. Conduct weekly and bi-weekly LPA Audits. Document defects and then work through viable solutions on eliminating defects. Verify, document, and communicate audit results, and evaluate the effectiveness of corrective action/follow-up through red tag closure and tracking. Participate in, lead, and facilitate improvement teams. Participate in writing procedures, standard work, and visual aides to support production. Assist in product testing according to plant standards. Administer the non-conforming material warehouse when required. Actively participate in Lean activities and Kaizen events. Conduct and participate in training associates in mechanical/electrical assembly methods. Assist in defect tracking and data collection. Assist Quality Engineer and Lead PFMEAs, Control Plans, CARS, SCARS, and PCARs. Assist in developing new processes and procedures to improve quality and productivity during the manufacturing processes. Assist QE and Quality Manager with corrective action tracking and root cause analysis. Assist with ISO audits and ensure procedures are followed. Assist in programming controllers for production as required. Assist in other quality-related duties as assigned. Physical Capabilities Based on Daily Work Schedule of 5-day work week, 8-hour shift with overtime requirements: Sitting 1 - 2 hours per day. Crawling Occasionally. Standing 8 - 10 hours per day. Squatting Frequently. Bending Occasionally. Twisting Frequently. Walking 8 - 10 hours per day. Lifting/Carry Occasionally up to 50 lbs. Climbing Occasionally up to 6 ft. Reaching Frequently. Qualifications:
High school diploma with at least 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to professionally influence others without having direct authority. Handle multiple tasks and prioritize work. Knowledge of the Refrigeration Industry is a plus. Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) Knowledge of ISO9001 Quality management System or equivalent standard Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to interface across all departments. Basic computer skills are required with a good understanding of Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, and BaaN. Good communication skills and the ability to lead teams. Ability to apply and understand the standards and principles of process/product auditing techniques such as examining, questioning, evaluating, and reporting. REQ-156086
