Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and MaintenanceFabricated Structural Metal ManufacturingIron and Steel Mills and Ferroalloy ManufacturingMechanical Technician C Essential Job Duties: • Must be able to work on and understand hydraulic systems and be able to fabricate. • Responsible for ensuring the maintenance of the buildings, grounds and equipment. • Demonstrated knowledge in the repair of large industrial equipment in industrial facilities. • Must be able to make complex repairs to steel processing equipment and have the ability to lead others to completion of said repairs. • Must be able to climb, work in elevated areas and work a flexible schedule.
Qualifications:
- Have a minimum of six (6) years of documented experience in related field.
- Pass the Mechanical Technician C test with a seventy percent (70%) overall score, forty two (42) out of sixty (60) questions.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- No later than two (2) years of hire date, the Mechanical Technician C shall take the Millwright Journeyman test to become a Millwright B.
- Once the classification of Millwright B has been achieved, an Associate's Degree in Industrial Maintenance must be obtained to become a Millwright A from approved academic provider. Salary Description 25.36 - 31.36 per hour
