Position Overview:
The MEP Construction Manager is responsible for leading, coordinating, and managing the site-level execution and quality of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) installations.
This role serves as the key technical link between general contractors, trade subcontractors, and client representatives from early construction through to testing, pre-commissioning, and full commissioning (L1–L5 stages).
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily site operations, progress, and installation quality for all MEP systems (HVAC, Chillers, Switchgear, Power Distribution, Piping, Fire Protection, and Controls).
Act as the primary technical point of contact for mechanical and electrical subcontractors, resolving constructability conflicts in the field.
Review mechanical/electrical submittals, RFIs, design packages, and change orders to ensure strict compliance with project specifications and timelines.
Coordinate pre-commissioning activities and partner closely with commissioning leads through Level 1 to Level 5 testing phases.
Conduct daily site inspections to enforce safety protocols (OSHA standards, JSEA), maintain progress schedules, and resolve installation punch list items.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation and site reports using construction management software (Procore, ACC, or similar).
Qualifications & Requirements Experience & Background: Proven experience as an MEP Construction Manager, MEP Superintendent, or Lead MEP Coordinator on large-scale industrial, data center, mission-critical, or complex commercial developments.
Full project lifecycle experience—from groundbreaking and early works to final handover and commissioning startup.
Strong technical understanding of both Mechanical (HVAC/Chillers/Piping) and Electrical (Switchgear/UPS/Power Distribution) trades.
OSHA 30 Certification (or active OSHA 10) is strongly preferred.
Technical & Soft Skills: Proficiency with construction management platforms (e.g., Procore, BIM 360, MS Project).
Exceptional conflict resolution, subcontractor management, and communication skills.
Understanding of project pacing—from initial planning/coordination meetings to high-intensity commissioning phases (including willingness to work overtime or occasional Saturdays during critical project milestones).
What’s on Offer Long-term assignment with 18 to 30+ months of project duration
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate + overtime (1.5x).
Benefits:
Comprehensive Health Insurance package and 401(k) plan.
