Senior Music Retail Sales Associate

Music & Arts seeks a part-time Senior Sales Associate to drive sales and support music education in our retail store. You’ll guide students, parents, and educators in selecting band and orchestra instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons; process transactions; and maintain merchandising standards. Partner with school service reps, support repairs and service orders, and ensure an outstanding, student-focused experience. Ideal candidates have strong retail or music sales experience, instrument knowledge, and a passion for helping learners and school programs succeed. Advise customers on instruments, rentals, accessories, and lesson options Drive retail sales and meet or exceed store performance goals Process sales, rentals, returns, and lesson enrollments accurately Maintain merchandising, inventory organization, and store appearance Support coordination of repairs and service orders Collaborate with school service reps and educators to meet program needs Provide exceptional, student-focused customer service Educate customers on financing, protection plans, and promotions Assist with opening/closing procedures and cash handling Support in-store events and community outreach activities Retail sales Customer service Point-of-sale (POS) systems Instrument product knowledge Music notation and terminology Merchandising Inventory management Cash handling Sales reporting Communication Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Background in music performance or education preferred Previous retail or specialty sales experience Point-of-sale and inventory system familiarity Weekend and evening availability Strong knowledge of band and orchestra instruments
