Job Overview:
A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its Bankruptcy and Restructuring Group in Miami, FL, with a strong preference for New York. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters.
Duties:
Represent debtors, creditors, lenders, investors, and other stakeholders in bankruptcy and restructuring cases.
Handle Chapter 11 proceedings and out-of-court restructurings.
Engage in distressed M&A transactions and creditor negotiations.
Navigate complex subject matter quickly and effectively.
Requirements:
3-5 years of relevant experience in a law firm or similar environment.
Experience with distressed investing, private credit, and capital solutions preferred.
Superior writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ambition, drive, and team-orientation to support national practice growth.
Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
Certifications:
Active bar admission in the jurisdiction of intended practice.
Skills Ability to handle complex legal matters efficiently.
