Nistar Capital's majority ownership is led by a co-founder of one of the world's leading quantitative investment firms, bringing long-term commitment and deep experience in systematic investing. The firm is led by an Executive Chair who is an accomplished financial services executive with extensive high net worth networks, and the CPO is run by a seasoned principal who leads compliance and operations. Nistar Flagship LP is live, and we are building a small, senior team to scale it to institutional size. We are moving fast and need someone who wants to move faster. Direct access to ownership and leadership. Decisions happen in days, not quarters. A live fund with institutional infrastructure already in place: registered CPO, active NFA membership, and outside compliance counsel. Real ownership: equity in Nistar plus performance compensation tied directly to the capital you bring in.
The Role: This role is registered as an Associated Person of Nistar Fund Management LLC. You will own sales and solicitation for Nistar Flagship LP across three channels: high net worth individuals, family offices, and institutional allocators. Working closely with the firm's principal and executive leadership, you will build and manage the pipeline from first conversation through subscription, and serve as a primary relationship manager for investors once they are in the fund.
What You'll Do: Originate, qualify, and close investors across individual, family office, and institutional channels Build and manage a disciplined pipeline and CRM process Lead investor meetings, due diligence calls, and data room engagement Represent Nistar at capital introduction events, conferences, and allocator meetings Work with the principal and compliance to ensure all communications and materials are used in accordance with NFA and CFTC requirements Maintain ongoing investor relationships, including quarterly updates and re-engagement Provide market feedback to leadership on investor demand, positioning, and objections
Requirements: Active Series 3, with current or recent registration as an Associated Person with the NFA (This is a HARD Requirement and is necessary for the role)Demonstrated experience raising capital for, or representing, a commodity pool Existing relationships with family offices, allocators, and qualified individual investors Working knowledge of NFA promotional material and communication rules and CFTC Rule 4.7 offerings Track record of closing allocations, not just generating meetings Clean regulatory history Hunter mentality: self-directed, high urgency, and energized by building a book from the ground up in a lean firm Nice to Have Series 7, 63, 65, or 66 Experience with managed futures, systematic, or alternative strategies Consultant or OCIO relationships Compensation$125,000 to $175,000 base, plus meaningful performance-based compensation tied to capital raised and equity participation in Nistar.
