This opportunity will give you experience in the energy sector in the United States with a company that is a globally recognized leader in energy production and one of the biggest companies in the US.LOCATIONHouston, TX 77002COMPENSATION$132/hrSCHEDULEFull-time, 9/80 scheduleCONTRACT TERM2.5 month contract with high likelihood of extension or conversion to full time employeePOSITION OVERVIEW – Environmental Markets Analyst IV - This role is a critical enabler for RNG’s P&L by performing data analysis and optimization to generate carbon credits for a group of our RNG production facilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Utilize PowerBI and other tools for data monitoring and visualization.
  • Develop monthly and quarterly reports per regulatory guidelines for credit generation. C
  • apture operational trends to identify areas for optimization, profit improvement, and streamline credit generation work processes.
  • Develop strong relationships with key auditors and regulatory stakeholders while hosting site visits.
  • Work closely with operations and short and mid-range planning for input into plan development.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
  • Technical curiosity and self-motivation
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and participate in cross-functional teams
  • Detail oriented with demonstrated ability to meet monthly deadlines for routine tasks
  • Experience using data analysis to drive profitability
  • Advanced Excel
  • Data reconciliation
  • Trend analysis
  • Root cause analysis
  • Ability to work with large datasets
  • Ability to identify bad or incomplete dataPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience using PI, PIVision, PowerBI, PowerApps, and other data visualization software
  • Experience in process monitoring and optimization
  • Experience working closely with operations and facilities engineering to identify data quality constraints and opportunities for improvement
