Key Responsibilities: Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify individual needs and develop tailored therapeutic interventions. Implementing innovative treatment strategies, incorporating techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices. Providing a combination of individual, couples, and family counseling sessions, utilizing remote technologies to facilitate meaningful interactions. Leading support groups for cancer patients and their caregivers, fostering a safe space for sharing experiences and coping strategies. Staying current with emerging research in mental health to refine practices and introduce applicable techniques into your work. Maintaining strict confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in all client interactions and documentation. Patient Population / Client FocusThe primary client population includes cancer patients at various stages of their journey—diagnosis, treatment, recurrence, end-of-life care, and survivorship. You will work closely with individuals and families grappling with emotional distress related to these challenges, helping them find resilience and strength through evidence-based mental health interventions. Your contributions will play a vital role in enhancing patient outcomes and fostering a supportive community for those affected by cancer.
Qualifications: A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling. Valid and current state licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).No history of medical malpractice claims, verified by a third party. Authorization to work in the United States without restrictions.
Preferred Experience: Experience working with cancer patients or in a similar healthcare setting is strongly preferred. Proven track record of implementing evidence-based therapeutic practices. Familiarity with remote counseling tools and platforms, ensuring effective and secure virtual sessions.
Compensation and Benefits: This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and caseload.
