CAD Civil 3D Technician

Position Summary: As a CAD Civil 3D Technician, you will support civil engineering teams by developing detailed designs, models, and construction documents for water, wastewater, and utility infrastructure projects. You will collaborate closely with engineers, designers, survey professionals, and project stakeholders to deliver accurate and high-quality project documentation.

Key Responsibilities: Develop pipeline corridor design plans and profiles using AutoCAD Civil 3D.Perform modeling, layout, and profiling of gravity and pressure piping systems. Prepare engineering drawings, construction plans, and technical design documents. Coordinate with engineers, survey teams, and multidisciplinary project teams. Assist with quantity takeoffs and estimating activities. Support quality assurance and quality control reviews. Generate plan and profile drawings with accurate labeling and stationing. Prepare cross-sections, volume calculations, and quantity computations. Develop existing condition models using survey and as-built information. Organize project files and drawing structures according to established standards. Utilize survey data, coordinate systems, and boundary information during the design process. Maintain consistency in drafting procedures and documentation practices. Support continuous improvement of CAD standards, workflows, and design tools.

Required Qualifications: Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D.Experience producing civil engineering drawings and construction documents. Knowledge of utility infrastructure design principles. Ability to create accurate plan and profile drawings. Experience with: Gravity pipe networks Pressure pipe systems Utility corridor layouts Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.

Experience Requirements: Preferred 3–5+ years of Civil 3D experience supporting utility, civil, or infrastructure projects. Also Considered 1+ years of Civil 3D experience combined with exposure to water/wastewater infrastructure projects. Strong technical aptitude and eagerness to learn and grow within the organization.
