This role is central to unlocking biological insights from large-scale omics datasets, driving advancements in understanding complex diseases and identifying novel therapeutic targets. You will leverage sophisticated bioinformatics tools and algorithms, collaborate closely with experimental biologists and clinicians, and contribute to the development of cutting-edge computational methodologies. Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement computational pipelines for the analysis of genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and other high-throughput biological data.
Develop and apply statistical and machine learning models to identify patterns, biomarkers, and potential drug targets from complex biological datasets.
Collaborate closely with experimental scientists to design studies, interpret results, and guide future research directions.
Contribute to the development of novel algorithms and software tools for biological data analysis.
Communicate complex scientific findings clearly and concisely through reports, presentations, and publications.
Maintain detailed documentation of code, methodologies, and analysis workflows for reproducibility.
Requirements:
Ph. D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in analyzing large-scale biological datasets (e.g., next-generation sequencing, single-cell RNA-seq).
Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in bioinformatics, such as Python or R, and associated libraries (e.g., Bioconductor, Sci Py, Pandas).
Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, and biological pathways.
Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and version control systems (Git).
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a distributed, collaborative team environment.
