LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a respected law firm to recruit a fully remote Litigation Attorney. This position is ideal for an attorney who enjoys managing cases from inception through resolution while working independently in a remote environment. The firm is seeking a motivated legal professional with strong litigation skills, excellent judgment, and the ability to effectively represent clients across a variety of civil litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload through all phases of litigation from initial case evaluation through settlement, trial, or resolution
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents
- Draft and respond to written discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission
- Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
- Attend court appearances, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences
- Develop litigation strategies and evaluate liability, damages, and case exposure
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status, legal strategy, and risk assessment
- Prepare detailed case evaluations, status reports, and litigation updates
- Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, experts, and outside vendors to effectively manage matters
- Ensure compliance with court deadlines, procedural rules, and client reporting requirements
- Assist with trial preparation including witness preparation, exhibit management, and trial strategy development
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree and active admission to a state bar
- Prior litigation experience in a law firm environment
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Experience handling pleadings, motion practice, discovery, depositions, and court appearances
- Ability to independently manage a caseload and prioritize competing deadlines
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Proficiency with legal research platforms, document management systems, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote setting while maintaining productivity and responsiveness Preferred Experience
- Experience handling civil litigation matters in areas such as commercial litigation, insurance defense, employment law, professional liability, construction litigation, personal injury, or general liability
- Trial preparation experience and participation in mediations or arbitrations
- Experience working directly with clients and providing strategic legal guidance
- Ability to manage a high volume caseload while maintaining exceptional client service

Pay Range: $60-100 an hour
