Job Description
Overview: Design and optimize mechanical systems and components for innovative applications, ensuring functionality and performance. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive product development and manufacturing processes. Conduct structured testing to evaluate mechanical and environmental performance of designs. Analyze test results, providing actionable insights to enhance engineering solutions. Support prototype development using advanced fabrication techniques like 3D printing and CNC machining. Participate in troubleshooting and resolving hardware issues to ensure reliability. Contribute to iterative design improvements for enhanced product performance and manufacturability. Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with industry advancements and technologies.
Key Responsibilities & Duties: Develop mechanical designs focusing on performance, manufacturability, and assembly efficiency. Fabricate prototype components using advanced manufacturing techniques and tools. Collaborate with engineering teams to design and refine hardware systems. Plan and execute tests to evaluate mechanical and environmental performance of systems. Document and analyze test data, providing recommendations for improvement. Support assembly operations, ensuring adherence to quality and efficiency standards. Investigate and resolve hardware failures, implementing corrective actions. Collaborate across disciplines to ensure seamless product lifecycle management.
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Proficiency in 3D CAD software, with preference for Fusion 360.Experience with fabrication methods such as 3D printing and CNC machining. Strong analytical skills for structured testing and data interpretation. Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).Preferred experience with UAVs, drones, or autonomous systems. Exposure to aerospace, robotics, or hardware-focused product development environments. Ability to work on-site in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
