Research and Development in Biotechnology (except Nanobiotechnology)In-Vitro Diagnostic Substance ManufacturingResearch and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences (except Nanotechnology and Biotechnology)Welcome to Pictor. We’re a biotechnology company developing a streamlined, cost-effective targeted proteomic platform designed to generate insights across multiple biomarkers from a single sample. By combining focused biomarker panels with a practical laboratory workflow, we’re working to make complex proteomic analysis more accessible, efficient, and useful for researchers and laboratory partners. Our focus is simple: turn strong science into reliable technology that can perform in real-world laboratory environments. We’re looking for an Assay Development Scientist to support the design, development, implementation, optimization, and validation of plate based multiplex protein assays on the Pictor platform, including Pict Array®, Pict Imager®, associated products, and future platform innovations. This is a full-time, on-site role focused on developing and implementing immunoassays across multiple programs where you will: Design and execute experiments, analyse data, and support assay development, optimization, verification, and validation. Perform analytical studies assessing assay performance, including sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, precision, reproducibility, linearity, recovery, interference, robustness, and stability, as applicable. Troubleshoot assay chemistry, reagents, sample matrices, workflows, instrumentation, imaging, and data analysis. Support QC strategies, reference materials, calibrators, controls, and reagent qualification. Prepare protocols, reports, data summaries, and other technical documentation. Collaborate with Manufacturing and Operations on technology transfer, process optimization, scale-up, and product implementation. Day to day, your key responsibilities will be: Developing expertise across the Pictor platform, including Pict Array®, Pict Imager®, Pictorial® software, and future products. Applying knowledge of ELISA, multiplex immunoassays, proteomics, and protein biomarkers to implement and optimize assays on the Pictor platform. Supporting assay implementation, validation, transfer, continuous improvement, and technical investigations. Maintaining accurate laboratory documentation and work in accordance with applicable quality, regulatory, and BSL-2 laboratory requirements. Contributing to laboratory operations and maintain a safe, organized, and efficient laboratory environment. Communicating project progress, results, risks, and timelines effectively across cross-functional teams. Ideally, you’ll have: A bachelor’s degree in either Biochemistry, Immunology, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology, Proteomics, or a related discipline, with 3–5 years’ experience in immunoassay development, biomarker research, proteomics, diagnostics. Hands-on experience with ELISA, multiplex immunoassays, protein biomarker assays, or related protein-based analytical methods, with a strong understanding of assay development, optimization, validation, and antigen-antibody interactions. Experience working with biological matrices such as serum, plasma, cerebrospinal fluid, cell culture supernatants, or tissue lysates. Strong experimental design, troubleshooting, data analysis, and scientific documentation skills, with the ability to independently plan, execute, interpret, and communicate experimental results. Ability to rapidly learn and apply new technologies, instrumentation, software, reagents, and assay workflows. Experience in a regulated environment, including ISO 9001/13485, design control, or quality systems, is preferred. Knowledge of BSL-2 laboratory practices, laboratory safety, and risk management. A collaborative, adaptable, and solutions-focused approach, with strong communication and organizational skills and a willingness to contribute to team development and knowledge sharing. Come join Pictor and become part of ONE TEAM turning innovative science into practical solutions. We’re a collaborative and curious team where ideas are welcomed, challenges are tackled together, and everyone has an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution. We value integrity, transparency, and respect—and we believe in celebrating progress along the way. You’ll have the opportunity to grow your expertise, help build something meaningful, and play a role in shaping what comes next for Pictor.
