Overview: The role involves handling litigation matters from inception through resolution, including drafting and responding to pleadings, managing written and electronic discovery (including e-discovery strategy), drafting dispositive and non-dispositive motions, arguing non-dispositive motions, defending depositions, and participating in mediations. While prior employment law experience is preferred, the firm is also interested in litigators from other defense-side complex litigation practices who demonstrate a strong interest in developing an employment law practice. The Detroit office of Fisher Phillips is seeking a Junior Employment Litigation Associate with 1-2 years of litigation experience to join our growing team. Ideal candidates will bring a desire to grow their skills and build their practice under the mentorship of seasoned attorneys while taking on meaningful, client-facing work immediately.

Managing written and electronic discovery, including e-discovery strategy Drafting dispositive and non-dispositive motions Arguing non-dispositive motions Defending depositions Participating in mediations While prior employment law experience is preferred, we are equally interested in litigators from other defense-side complex litigation practices who demonstrate a strong interest in developing an employment law practice and contributing to firm growth.
