Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a full-time basis. This role focuses on non-customer contact tasks, ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of medications and supporting the pharmacy's operational needs.
Key Responsibilities: Medication Preparation:
  • Accurately prepare and package prescription medications for dispensing.
  • Perform quality checks on prepared medications to ensure accuracy and compliance with prescriptions.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping:
  • Accurately document all medication preparation and inventory activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies related to record-keeping and documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain reports as required by the pharmacy manager.
  • Compliance and Safety:
  • Follow all pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards, including those related to medication handling and compounding.
  • Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Participate in continuous education and training to stay current with pharmacy practices and regulations.
  • Collaboration and Support:
  • Work closely with pharmacists and other team members to support the efficient operation of the pharmacy.
  • Provide support for special projects and initiatives as directed by the pharmacy manager.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of new pharmacy technicians.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certification: KY Pharmacy Technician CertificatePTCB Certified Experience:
Previous experience as a pharmacy technician desired but not required
Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry moderate weight (up to 20 pounds).Manual dexterity to handle and package medications.
Work Schedule: Full-time position Monday through Friday.7:00 am - 3:00 pm; No nights or holidays. (Overtime may be available during the week or as business dictates and scheduled in advance.)
