Director, Power Market Fundamentals

Responsibilities: Overseeing activities across power market fundamentals, commercial analytics and production cost modeling. Managing a team of analysts, providing leadership, direction and accountability to the whole team. Responsible for electricity market modeling and price forecasts across North America. Conduct thorough analysis of model outputs to ensure process quality. Maintain a strong understanding of the impact of Energy Policy & Regulatory Affairs. Ability to leverage the results of the fundamental price forecast and succinctly present these findings to internal and external stakeholders, to guide strategic and commercial decisions.

Qualifications: Excellent understanding of power market fundamentals with at least 8 years of relevant experience. Proven track-record managing a team in the Power Market Fundamentals space and delivering exceptional results. Experience in production cost modeling (e.g., PLEXOS, PROMOD, Aurora, EnCompass etc.) is required. Strong understanding of market trends in conventional generation, renewables, energy storage, distributed generation, and transmission development. Master's degree in an analytical/numerical subject - Engineering, Mathematics, Economics etc. Proven ability to perform in high visibility, high growth environments. Excellent interpersonal skills.
