Supervisor The Supervisor is a "Hands on" working supervisor responsible for the training, supervision and welfare of the assigned individual's w/disabilities working in the community performing contracted work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Supervises and works with individuals w/disabilities (crew members) at the work site. Provides crew members training and retraining when necessary. Provides quality assurance by inspecting completed work assignment. Provides hands-on assistance to crew members while engaged in work assignment. Ensures that optimal health and safety practices are being followed at all times. Maintains contact with contract personnel to ensure contract requirements are being met. Makes environmental modifications at the work site which will assist the individual in better performing work duties. Maintains on-going contact with appropriate supported employment staff. Provides direct counseling to the individual to minimize social, emotional or behavior problems. Serves as an advocate for the individual at the work site/community. Maintains a positive relationship with contract management, employees and others at the work/site community. All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and team members. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Maintain professional and courteous demeanor. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, agencies, vendors, donors and funders. Identify concerns, generate and evaluate alternate solutions and make sound recommendations.
Education and Experience
Requirements: Possess a High School Diploma or GED and two (2) years supervisory experience. Must be at least 21 years of age and qualify for Level II background screen. Prefer two (2) years' experience in janitorial or maintenance setting serving individuals with disabilities. One (1) year of college may substitute for each year of experience up to four (4) years.
