This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for someone with experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel trucks and waste equipment.
Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair diesel trucks and waste equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, air brake, and mechanical systems
- Work on roll-off trucks, side loaders, refuse trucks, and related equipment
- Diagnose engine, transmission, sensor, and electrical issues
- Communicate with drivers regarding equipment and maintenance needs
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shop environment
Diesel Mechanic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Diesel Mechanic/Diesel Technician experience preferred
- Waste, refuse, or heavy truck experience is a strong plus
- Experience with hydraulics, air brakes, electrical systems, and diesel diagnostics
- Experience with Mack, Peterbilt, PACCAR, Freightliner, or similar trucks preferred
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
