About the Position:
We are hiring a Hydraulics Systems Designer to take ownership of the hydraulic systems and test circuits behind critical factory equipment. This is an opportunity to bring essential design work in-house, make a visible impact on machine upgrades across multiple plants, and help projects move faster with stronger accountability from concept through completion. You will join a collaborative five-person engineering team where mechanical, controls, and electrical disciplines come together to solve practical, high-value manufacturing challenges. If you are at your best when you can independently drive technical work, collaborate across functions, and see the tangible result of your designs in the field, this role was built for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the design and development of hydraulic systems and test circuits for industrial, factory-based equipment.
Create clear, accurate hydraulic drawings and design documentation that support build, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
Lead hydraulic-focused projects from initial requirements through execution, coordination, and completion.
Partner closely with mechanical, controls, and electrical engineering teammates to deliver integrated machine solutions.
Support hydraulic upgrades at plants and help ensure projects are delivered on time, with strong technical ownership and minimal supervision.
Qualilfications:
At least five years of experience designing hydraulic equipment for manufacturing, industrial, or other factory environments.
Hands-on CAD experience, with SolidWorks experience preferred and the ability to learn new design tools quickly.
Strong AutoCAD experience creating and interpreting hydraulic drawings.
A demonstrated ability to lead projects, coordinate technical stakeholders, and keep work moving toward completion.
A degree is not required when supported by the relevant hands-on experience and technical capability.
Why Join Us:
This is more than a design seat. You will have the autonomy to own meaningful hydraulic work that has historically been outsourced, while gaining a strong cross-functional platform to lead projects and grow your influence. We offer a remote work arrangement, a base salary of $120,000 to $140,000, lump-sum relocation support for the right candidate, and occasional travel of approximately one week per quarter. If you are ready to put your hydraulic systems expertise to work on industrial equipment that matters, apply today and help us build smarter, more reliable factory solutions.
