Reports To: CEO
Salary: $70,000
Benefits: Comprehensive healthcare (medical, vision, dental), 401(k), unlimited PTO, life insurance, and more.
About Multihouse: Multihouse is a creative agency and production company working across entertainment, digital media, and social impact. We partner with nonprofit organizations, mission-driven companies, and creative collaborators to develop campaigns, content, partnerships, and original projects that move people and organizations forward. Our work spans strategy, communications, fundraising, business development, film, television, podcasts, and digital media. We are a small, ambitious team, which means everyone at Multihouse is expected to think critically, solve problems, take ownership, and help build better ways of working.
Role Overview: The Development & Partnerships Manager will work closely with the CEO to support Multihouse's business development, fundraising, partnership, and financial coordination efforts. This is a hands-on role for someone who is equally comfortable building a prospect pipeline, communicating with donors and partners, working through a complicated spreadsheet, reconciling financial records, and figuring out how to solve a problem without waiting for step-by-step instructions. The role will help secure new business and strategic partnerships for Multihouse while supporting fundraising and development efforts for our nonprofit clients. It will also serve as an important bridge between development activities and finance, helping ensure donations, sponsorships, invoices, payments, and related records are tracked accurately and reconciled with clients and their finance departments. We are looking for a self-starter who is exceptionally organized, financially literate, comfortable with Excel, and naturally inclined to identify problems and find solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and support business development initiatives across Multihouse's agency, production, and original content work. Identify, cultivate, and secure new clients, sponsors, donors, and strategic partners. Coordinate fundraising and capital campaigns for nonprofit clients, including prospect research, outreach, stewardship, and campaign tracking. Build and maintain donor and prospect pipelines and conduct consistent donor outreach on behalf of clients. Develop and manage relationships with nonprofit leaders, corporate partners, foundations, donors, sponsors, and other stakeholders. Maintain accurate CRM records and reporting across business development and fundraising activities. Support client fundraising campaigns, events, sponsorship initiatives, and donor engagement efforts. Track donations, sponsorships, invoices, commitments, payments, and other development-related financial activity. Reconcile fundraising and development records against finance records and identify and resolve discrepancies. Work directly with client finance departments and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, documentation, invoicing, and payment tracking. Build and maintain Excel-based trackers, reports, reconciliations, forecasts, and financial summaries. Assist with invoicing, accounts receivable tracking, financial documentation, and related administrative processes as needed. Translate financial and development data into clear, actionable reporting for leadership and clients. Represent Multihouse at relevant industry events, conferences, meetings, and networking opportunities. Collaborate with Multihouse's creative, communications, production, and operations teams to ensure development efforts align with client and company priorities. Proactively identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities, and take ownership of developing solutions.
Qualities & Experience: At least 6 years of experience in business development, fundraising, partnerships, nonprofit development, finance/operations, or a related field. Demonstrated success developing relationships and securing clients, donors, sponsors, or strategic partners. Experience working with nonprofit organizations, development departments, finance departments, or fundraising campaigns strongly preferred. Experience reconciling financial records, tracking payments or donations, and working across development and finance functions. Excellent Excel skills are required, including confidence organizing and analyzing large datasets, reconciling records, building trackers, and creating clear financial reports. Strong attention to detail and a high degree of comfort working with numbers. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously. A genuine self-starter who does not need to wait for detailed instructions to move work forward. Strong problem-solving skills and the judgment to investigate discrepancies, identify solutions, and know when something needs to be escalated. Excellent relationship-building skills and confidence communicating by phone, email, video, and in person. Strong written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Experience with fundraising and CRM platforms such as Classy/GoFundMe Pro, RaiseDonors, CyberGrants, Virtuous, or comparable systems. Experience working with donor-advised funds (DAFs).Experience with accounting, invoicing, financial reporting, or accounts receivable systems is strongly preferred. Experience with project management platforms such as Monday.com is preferred. Familiarity with Canva or similar basic design tools is helpful but not required. CFRE certification is a plus; candidates without certification should be willing to work toward it.
What Success Looks Like: Success in this role means opportunities do not fall through the cracks. Prospects are followed up with, donor pipelines are active, financial records reconcile, invoices and commitments are tracked, clients receive accurate information, and problems are identified and addressed before they become larger issues. You will be someone the CEO, our team, and our clients can rely on to take an objective, understand what needs to happen, and drive it through completion. Why Join Multihouse? Work directly with leadership and have meaningful ownership over business development, partnerships, fundraising, and client success. Help build a growing creative company rather than simply stepping into a narrowly defined corporate role. Work across entertainment, nonprofit, social impact, and original creative projects. Competitive base salary and comprehensive benefits. Comprehensive healthcare, including medical, vision, and dental coverage, 401(k), unlimited PTO, life insurance, and more. Join a collaborative team where initiative, curiosity, and problem-solving are valued. Significant opportunity for professional growth as Multihouse continues to expand.
