Job Description Next Level Staffing is currently recruiting for a machine operator/lumber handler for a client located in Pewaukee. Machine Operator / Lumber Handler Primary Function: Assist the Mill/Glue Department with running material to specifications based upon each individual order through the machine.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Move material to/from work station using a forklift Read order specifications to set-up machinery to run order Run tally counts on lumber and verify accuracy of order using tape measure and digital caliper Keep work area clean Assist with performing maintenance and upkeep on mill machinery and equipment Assist yard where needed Other tasks as assigned Requirements and Experience: Forklift experience required Ability to read a tape measure and digital caliper Count material accurately Identify various lumber types Ability to perform duties in a shop environment Stand for extended periods of time and do fair amount of walking Physically fit (lift up to 10lbs regularly and up to 60lbs occasionally) Team Oriented Customer Relations Dependable and reliable attendance
