Location
Onsite: Boston, MAPosition Overview The organization is seeking an experiencedQA Automation Engineerto lead and advance its Quality Assurance Automation initiative. This role will focus on designing, evaluating, implementing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks for Windows UI applications, while extending automation capabilities to web applications and integrating testing processes into the broader software delivery lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise intest automation architecture, Windows and Web UI automation, automation frameworks, scripting/programming, QA best practices, cloud technologies, and CI/CD integration. This individual will also serve as a technical mentor and champion continuous improvement across the QA organization.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, evaluate, and implement scalable automation frameworks for Windows UI applications.
  • Extend automation capabilities to support web-based applications.
  • Define automation strategies, standards, best practices, and governance processes.
  • Collaborate with QA, Development, Product, and Infrastructure teams to establish automation roadmaps.
  • Evaluate automation tools and technologies through proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives and ROI analyses.

Implement: Data-Driven Testing Parallel Test Execution Automated Reporting Test Data Management Configuration Management Integrate automation frameworks with test management and defect-tracking systems. Support CI/CD pipeline integrations and automated test execution. Establish coding standards and automation development guidelines. Create automation metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms. Support Web UI automation using tools such as Selenium. Evaluate and recommend tools for web load testing and performance testing. Produce technical documentation, standards, onboarding materials, and training resources. Mentor QA team members and promote automation best practices across the organization.
Required Qualifications:
  • Strong experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks.
  • Experience automating Windows desktop applications.
  • Experience automating Web UI applications.
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, testing strategies, and software development lifecycles.
