Analyst, Data

What You'll Do: Collect, validate, and analyze early childhood data from multiple public sources. Analyze ECE enrollment geographically throughout Maui County. Analyze child care tuition by geographic area and provider type. Evaluate Public Pre-K capacity, enrollment, and utilization. Track workforce shortages including ECE teachers, pediatricians, therapists, Early Intervention providers, and related professionals. Compile annual TANF and WIC participation for Maui County. Develop 5–7 years of historical trend data on child care availability, capacity, enrollment, tuition, subsidies, and utilization. Develop dashboards, executive reports, maps, and/or annual report. Support grant writing and strategic planning through data analysis. Present findings to leadership and community partners. Maintain confidentiality and data integrity. Perform other duties as assigned. Other Duties Support program evaluation. Participate in community meetings. Mental, Physical and Communication Demands Strong analytical skills. Working Conditions: Remote contract position with periodic meetings in Maui County. Work Hours Project-based schedule (approximately 20–30 hours per week). Equipment Use Computer, Microsoft Office, visualization software, and virtual meeting platforms Requirements Must reside in Hawaii - All other resumes not showing residency in Hawaii will not be considered Skills and Knowledge Advanced Excel. GIS experience preferred. Knowledge of statistics and demographics. Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in related field. Three years of data analysis experience. Early childhood/public policy experience preferred.
