SAP GTS Consultant

Responsible for guiding business stakeholders through the design and functional implementation of SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS, edition for SAP HANA) to enable compliant, efficient, and automated cross border trade operations. The role translates trade compliance and customs requirements into scalable process designs covering sanctioned party screening, embargo/legal control, license determination and usage, product classification (HS/HTS/Export Control), preference determination, and import/export customs management. Core accountabilities include leading Fit to Standard workshops, defining end to end process flows across order to cash and procure To pay, configuring GTS objects (legal regulations, control classes, business partners, document types, SPL screening, license procedures, determination strategies), and ensuring robust integration with S/4HANA SD/MM, EWM/TM, and external customs brokers/content providers. The consultant drives test strategy (unit/SIT/UAT), data migration (business partner/ship to data, classifications, licenses, preferences), and user enablement while embedding controls for auditability (recordkeeping, electronic archives, dual use controls) and measurable risk reduction.
