Every shipment becomes an onboard team's experience, so you treat each one as part of the Effy experience. You book and manage armored carriers, international forwarders and couriers, and you are the first point of contact for onboard teams. You own an assigned portfolio of cruise lines and vessels end to end, communicate with clarity and integrity, and back up your peers so the team succeeds together. This is a senior, high-autonomy role: there is no layer between you and leadership for day-to-day decisions. This position is based at our New York City headquarters and requires working onsite five days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio ownership. Own the full shipment lifecycle for your assigned accounts, global land stores, cruise lines and vessels, and back up a peer's portfolio so coverage never lapses. Treat every delivery as part of the onboard team's Effy experience. Impact Through Experience
- Leadership as Partnership Carrier and vendor management. Own the working relationship with armored carriers and international forwarders: rates, service levels, escalations and billing accuracy. Give carriers and port agents clear instructions and recognition. Run periodic carrier reviews and bring data-backed cost and service recommendations to leadership. Gratitude & Clarity

- Agility & Versatility Documentation. Prepare and check commercial invoices, shipper letters of instruction, packing lists and delivery schedules before anything is released, with declared values accurate every time. Resolve customs holds and manage bonded repacks. Leading with Clarity and Integrity Pre-alerts and receiving. Manage and send pre-alert notifications for all inbound and outbound shipments to assigned accounts, providing accurate details for supply and merchandise, including but not limited to transfer numbers, piece counts, seal numbers, item description and quantity, delivery window, named receivers and port-access requirements. Re-issue immediately on any change. Keep vessel contact lists current, and secure receipt confirmation within 7 days of delivery. Gratitude & Clarity Exceptions and claims. Trace delays, missed windows, shortages and damage to resolution, staying steady under sailing-day pressure and owning problems without blame. File carrier claims inside the filing window, escalate unresolved items within SLA, and review root causes. Resilient Together
- Reflect & Improve Special handling. VIP and ad-hoc orders, direct-to-vessel deliveries timed to port windows, Brightwell cards, IT equipment, gift-with-purchase items, fixtures and supply replenishments, including work beyond your usual scope when the day demands it. Agility & Versatility Tracking and reporting. Keep a live tracker of every open shipment. Build and present monthly logistics reporting based on business needs, including the unconfirmed-delivery report. Report honestly and early when something is off, and flag recurring vessel or route problems. Reconcile received counts to packing lists and hand confirmed deliveries to Inventory. Data-Driven Success
- Leading with Clarity and Integrity Process and people. Maintain SOPs, test new tools and carrier portals, and keep building new skills across carriers, lanes and systems. Train and back up teammates across offices and time zones, and make it easy for others to ask for help. Commitment to Growth
