The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below. Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including AP, AR, and general ledger activity
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and close deliverables prepared by the accounting team
- Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to accounting staff
- Support the timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial statements
- Assist with audit preparation, pulling together documentation and supporting schedules
- Help maintain and strengthen internal controls across daily accounting operations
- Identify and recommend improvements to existing accounting workflows
- Act as a go-to resource for cross-departmental accounting questions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 4+ years of accounting experience, with some prior lead or supervisory exposure
- Solid working knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes
- Comfortable with accounting/ERP systems and strong Excel skills
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Able to juggle competing priorities in a hybrid work setting
