Mechanical Engineer

What you'll be doing: Design and develop precision mechanical structures and assemblies using Siemens NXCreate detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings Design interfaces between optical, electrical, and thermal subsystems Perform structural and thermal analysis (FEA and hand calculations)Support manufacturing, assembly, integration, and testing Collaborate with suppliers on fabrication, tolerances, and quality requirements Contribute to the development of next-generation spaceflight hardware

What we're looking for: 3+ years' experience in mechanical engineering with hands-on product development Strong Siemens NX CAD experience Excellent understanding of GD&T and engineering drawing standards Experience designing precision or high-tolerance mechanical systems Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative engineering environment Desirable experience: FEA (NX Nastran, ANSYS or equivalent)Opto-mechanical or optical system design Manufacturing, integration, or assembly experience Space or aerospace hardware development Strong communication and problem-solving skills📍 Location: El Segundo, California (Hybrid model)This role offers the chance to work on challenging, high-impact space technology alongside an exceptional multidisciplinary team, with opportunities for professional growth as the organisation continues to expand.
