Job Description:
As a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic at Global Truck Repair, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of trucks and trailers. Your role will involve diagnosing mechanical issues, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring all trucks comply with safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform regular maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks and trailers.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
Conduct safety inspections and ensure vehicles meet compliance standards.
Replace or repair faulty parts and components.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance.
Work with diagnostic tools and software to identify issues.
Ensure that all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Qualifications:
Certification from an accredited automotive or diesel mechanic program (preferred).ASE certification or equivalent experience is a plus.
Proven experience as a truck mechanic with a strong understanding of diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles.
Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
English/ Spanish speakers encouraged
