ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Perform a thorough and complete review of loan package to ensure that the loan transaction complies with the terms outlined by Retail Underwriting, and is structured in accordance with regulatory guidelines and corporate loan policyEnter loan detail information into the loan platform system; prepare loan documents accurately and issue to closing attorneys and/or title companies and/or branch personnelOrder flood determinations and obtain flood notice disclosures when requiredReview preliminary documents received from vendors/closing agents such as the legal description for the property to be encumbered, title search/commitment, organizational documents, survey, hazard insurance/flood policy, to ensure the status of the title of the property is acceptable to the bankCoordinate loan funding with the closing attorney, wire department and lending team personnelFollow wiring protocols to verify data before submitting / processing wire requestsPrepare loan funding and collect bank fees associated with loan closing, and apply to appropriate general ledger accountsProvide exceptional service to internal and external customers via phone calls and monitoring email inbox to ensure a high level of servicePrioritize and monitor workflow to ensure closing deadlines are metPerform a post-closing review of all executed loan documents for accuracy and completeness, then forwards to Loan Boarding for onboarding processProvides support to the Loan Boarding Clerk, for delinquent trailing itemsBackup, as needed, for processing non-HELOCs in Loan DirectorJOB REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma or equivalent requiredParalegal background is a plusKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:Excellent customer service skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAttention to detailAbility to perform effectively in fast-paced environmentKnowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and OutlookPHYSICAL AND MENTAL QUALIFICATIONS:Standing, walking, bending and stooping requiredMust be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time and use a computerMust be able to occasionally move or lift up to 10 poundsMay be asked to work supplemental hours periodicallyLimited travel required during and after business hoursHourly Pay Range: $16.38 - $25.62 per hourBenefits: Eligible associates may participate in Carter Bank's benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, other voluntary benefits, 401(k), paid time off, and paid holidays.
