This team is responsible for performing major component exchanges on wind turbines across the United States using advanced self-hoisting crane technology. As a Liftra Support Technician, you will work alongside Liftra operators and field leadership to execute large-scale repairs, including gearbox, generator, and main bearing replacements. This role is ideal for candidates with mechanical aptitude, wind industry experience, heavy equipment experience, or industrial maintenance backgrounds who enjoy traveling and working in a hands-on field environment. Support major wind turbine component exchanges, including gearbox, generator, and main bearing replacements. Assist with rigging, signaling, lifting operations, and crane support activities during major corrective projects. Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and general work on wind turbines and associated equipment. Assist with turbine tear-down, reassembly, site preparation, equipment staging, and project mobilization activities. Follow lift plans, work instructions, and established safety procedures to ensure safe and successful project execution. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and communicate project updates to field leadership. Work safely in demanding environments, including heights, varying weather conditions, and physically intensive job sites. Maintain required certifications, training, and PPE compliance at all times.
Must Haves:
- High School Diploma or GEDMinimum of 1+ years in wind doing MCE/MCU work or 6 months of experience with Liftra cranes
- Clean background & willing/able to pass drug test
- Valid drivers license with minimal infractions
- Ability to work safely at heights and in physically demanding outdoor environments
- Ability to lift and carry equipment and work in a physically demanding environment

Cranes and Rigging Practical EvaluationLOTO Authorized and Hands on Demo (GWO CoHE accepted with hands on demo)
Plusses:
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Rigging, crane, heavy lift or signal person experienceLOTO experience
- Hydraulic, mechanical, or electrical troubleshooting experienceOSHA 10 or 30 certification
Compensation:
$40/hr to $44/hr. + Per DiemExact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
