Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lessons aligned with IEP goals and NYS Learning Standards
- Implement the HighScope Curriculum
- Adapt instruction to meet individual student needs
- Support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development
- Create a positive and engaging classroom environment
- Monitor student progress and maintain documentation for IEP reporting
- Collaborate with families, CPSE teams, therapists, and related service providers
- Participate in parent conferences, CPSE meetings, and parent training activities
Qualifications:
- RequiredBachelor's Degree in Special Education or related fieldNYS Special Education Certification (Birth–Grade 2 or Students with Disabilities)
- Experience working with preschool-aged children with special needs
- Knowledge of IEP development and progress monitoring
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
- PreferredMaster's Degree
- Experience with FBAs and BIPsKnowledge of best practices in early childhood special education
- Creativity, flexibility, and a passion for inclusive education
