Senior Thermostructures Engineer

Key responsibilities: Serve as a senior mentor for early career staff, offering technical guidance and conducting peer reviews of technical products Maintain expertise in the development, analysis, and verification of space structures, and publish insights to enhance mission assurance practices Lead technical studies and assess program risks, providing advice to program offices during various phases of aerospace projects

Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 12 or more years of progressively increased responsibility in structural engineering Expert knowledge in failure mechanics of metallic and composite materials and proficiency in finite element analysis tools like Nastran or Abaqus Demonstrated ability to lead cross-organization teams and establish strong working relationships with customers Willingness to occasionally travel domestically and ability to obtain a US security clearance Experience in aerospace thermostructural technologies and structural design criteria
