This role will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing operational policies and procedures across multiple trading and operations desks. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial services documentation experience and the ability to translate complex capital markets processes into clear, structured, and compliant documentation. Schedule: Hybrid, 3 days onsite
Pay: $26 - $34/hr
Position Type:
6-Month Contract Work Authorization Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.
What You'll Do:
Author, review, and maintain policies and procedures for Repo, Collateral Management, Asset-Backed Securities (ABS), and Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS) operations. Partner with desk leaders, operations teams, and key stakeholders to ensure documentation accurately reflects current business processes and regulatory requirements. Conduct interviews and information-gathering sessions with subject matter experts to document workflows and operational controls. Update existing documentation to align with process improvements, regulatory changes, and business initiatives. Ensure consistency, accuracy, and clarity across all policy and procedure materials. Support documentation efforts related to operational risk management and process governance. Assist with the potential expansion of documentation coverage into Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) and Derivatives business areas. Organize and maintain version-controlled documentation repositories and records.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience writing policies, procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), or process documentation within financial services or capital markets environments. Knowledge of repo operations, collateral management, ABS, MBS, securities lending, or related capital markets products. Strong written communication and technical documentation skills. Ability to simplify complex operational and financial processes into clear, user-friendly documentation. Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, operations teams, and subject matter experts. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hybrid environment. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Communications, Economics, or a related field.
Nice to Have:
Experience supporting FCM, derivatives, or other capital markets trading desks. Familiarity with SEC regulations and securities lending operations. Background in operations, risk, compliance, or capital markets documentation governance. Experience working within large financial institutions or investment banking environments. Who Should Apply?
