This role supports critical building systems, preventative maintenance programs, equipment repairs, and overall facility uptime. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of facility and automation systems in a fast-paced, technology-driven operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Repairing and making improvements to building and infrastructure.
Maintaining the distribution center's HVAC system.
Supporting and maintaining fire protection systems.
Maintaining and repairing distribution center racking.
Repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and automated conveyor systems.
Repairing and maintaining the building pneumatic system.
Completing preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
Tracking and storing the department's inventory, including spare parts.
Promoting and conducting good housekeeping practices.
Supporting continuous improvement in the department.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.1+ year of experience in facilities, maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or mechanical environments.
Experience performing preventative maintenance.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Experience with blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
Excellent safety awareness and a customer-focused attitude.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field.4+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
HVAC certifications or hands-on commercial/industrial HVAC experience.
Electrical maintenance experience.
Experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
Experience in distribution centers, fulfillment centers, manufacturing plants, or warehouses.
Metal and wood fabrication skills, including welding.
Ability to communicate effectively with peers, management, contractors, and vendors.
Work Environment:
Daily Schedule: M-F 8am-5pmWork involves repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking.
Lifting parts and tools occasionally weighing up to 80 pounds is required.
Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, and standing on concrete for long hours.
