Your impact: Our top ENR-ranked Ports & Maritime team is seeking aSenior Electrical Engineerto support the delivery of projects that expand, modernize, optimize, and decarbonize marine cargo and passenger terminals, urban waterfronts, and maritime industrial facilities worldwide. You'll join a team passionate about developing innovative solutions that move people and goods safely and efficiently through marine transportation facilities, enhancing global trade and connectivity. Your efforts will be focused on the design and implementation of electrical systems that support the electrification and decarbonization of public and private cargo terminals, as well as the design of electrical distribution and lighting systems for these facilities. Working alongside multidisciplinary engineers, planners, and project managers, you'll apply your technical expertise to develop and review electrical plans, drawings, specifications, reports, cost estimates, and design calculations that support successful project delivery. In addition to project execution, you'll contribute to proposals, studies, and pursuits involving waterfront electrification, low- and medium-voltage power systems, and emerging technologies supporting the future of ports and maritime infrastructure. You'll also have opportunities to collaborate across Jacobs' global network of transportation, industrial, energy, and water professionals, gaining exposure to a diverse range of projects while expanding your technical expertise and professional growth. What You'll Do: Prepare and review electrical design drawings, technical memorandums, specifications, engineering calculations, and design reports for ports and maritime infrastructure projects. Apply advanced technical knowledge in low- and medium-voltage power distribution, grounding, lighting, and power system design. Perform and support power-system studies, electrical analyses, and design evaluations. Contribute to project planning, design development, and construction-phase services. Support proposal development, including technical approaches and scope definition for electrical engineering services. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, innovative project solutions. Work with Ports & Maritime professionals, other Jacobs markets, and Global Delivery Center teams to support project delivery and expand technical capabilities. Mentor junior engineers and technicians while continuing to grow your own technical and professional expertise. #LI-LM1236 Here's what you'll need Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering. Minimum of 15 years of electrical engineering and design experience. Experience coordinating electrical design efforts within multidisciplinary project teams. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in both in-person and remote environments. Ability and willingness to travel to project sites and client offices. Working knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, criteria, and specifications, including NEC, NFPA, NEMA, and other relevant industry standards. Experience designing low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution systems. Experience performing power-system studies and electrical analyses. Experience designing grounding and lightning protection systems. Experience preparing and reviewing electrical plans, specifications, calculations, reports, and other engineering deliverables. Experience using one or more of the following: SKM Power Systems Analysis Software ETAP Power Systems Analysis Software AGi 32 Lighting Design Software AutoCAD or Micro Station Bluebeam or similar document review software Ideally, You'll Also Have Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Experience with ports, marine terminals, waterfront facilities, transportation, industrial, or utility infrastructure projects. Experience designing electrical systems for coastal, corrosive, industrial, or other harsh operating environments. Experience with container terminal infrastructure and port-related equipment such as ship-to-shore cranes, gantry cranes, straddle carriers, and other cargo-handling equipment. Experience designing medium- and low-voltage shore power (cold ironing) systems and vessel-support electrical infrastructure. Experience with shipyard and drydock electrical systems. Experience with microgrids, renewable energy integration, energy resilience, and transportation electrification initiatives. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
