Special Education Teacher

Job Title: Intervention Specialist / Special Education Teacher Location: Chesterland, OH Setting: School Setting - K-2nd Pay Rate: $40-$50 / hour Schedule: Full-Time Contract Length: 2026–2027 School Year

Responsibilities: Provide specially designed instruction and academic support to students with diverse learning needs in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and parents to adapt curricula, modify assignments, and accommodate student learning styles. Monitor student progress, collect data regularly, and participate in annual IEP meetings and multidisciplinary evaluations. Implement positive behavior support strategies and foster an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment. Maintain compliant and up-to-date special education documentation in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines.

Qualifications: Active Ohio Department of Education (ODE) Intervention Specialist license (or eligibility to obtain) required.

Required Skills: Previous experience developing and implementing IEPs in a school setting preferred.
