Residential Maintenance Technician II

Invitation Homes seeks a Maintenance Technician II to support quality single-family rental homes. Responsibilities include performing routine and emergency repairs, troubleshooting HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues, and completing work orders efficiently and safely. You will conduct inspections, identify preventative maintenance needs, and ensure homes are move-in ready and well maintained. The role partners closely with leasing and operations teams, vendors, and residents, delivering timely, professional service. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, safety-focused, customer-service minded, and comfortable using mobile work order and reporting systems. Perform routine, corrective, and emergency maintenance on single-family rental homes Troubleshoot and repair basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues Complete, document, and close work orders using mobile or digital systems Conduct property inspections and identify preventative maintenance needs Prepare homes to be move-in ready, ensuring quality and safety standards Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs as needed Communicate professionally with residents, providing timely service updates Follow safety protocols, building codes, and company maintenance standards Collaborate with leasing and operations teams to support resident satisfaction Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory in good working order Residential maintenance HVAC troubleshooting Basic plumbing repair Basic electrical repair Appliance repair Preventative maintenance Building codes and safety practices Mobile work order systems Vendor coordination Customer service Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k EPA 608 certification preferred for HVAC work Valid driver’s license and clean driving record OSHA safety training a plus Trade school or technical training in maintenance or building trades preferred
