Systems Assembler I-III

Reporting to: Manufacturing Leader

Location: West Henrietta, NYITAR/EAR Criteria: These positions may require lawful access to ITAR/EAR controlled information and employees in this role will need to meet those requirements.

Requirements include: US Citizenship or US Permanent Resident. Scope of Role: Clean & inspect optical components and mounts and assemble optical sub-assemblies and final assemblies. This job requires excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity. The ability to follow work instructions and the ability to make decisions at various stages of assembly are keys to success for this position.

Essential Duties: The Optical Systems Team is currently looking for a Systems Technician I for manufacturing operations. The right person will become an integral member of the SYSTEMS production team. Key success criteria for this position are customer satisfaction as measured by product quality, on-time delivery, and high productivity. Specific job responsibilities include: Clean & inspect optical components and mounts Assemble and Bond lens elements within mounts and barrels according to procedures Verification of sub-assemblies and final assemblies Maintain Assembly Tools and Area in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO protocols Complete and charge time to work orders and maintain job specific paperwork throughout the process Follow clean room protocols Education, Experience, Qualifications & Skills: The ideal candidate will have a clear desire to succeed and be effective working in a fast-paced environment. On a personal level, the candidate will exhibit the highest standards of integrity, deliver upon all commitments, and be a highly motivated, team player. Desired Traits: Direct experience with the handling, processing, and cleaning of optical lenses and filters. Experience working with lasers, sub-component assemblies, or optics. Good written and oral communication skills, ability to read and comprehend work instructions.
